New CBS News editor-in-chief Bari Weiss is reportedly revamping the network's weekend staple "CBS Saturday Mornings," with the show's two co-anchors reportedly being axed, the New York Post reported Wednesday.

Weiss was tapped as the network's new editor earlier this month, and is expected to bring a more conservative voice to the left-leaning network after building a reputation for being critical of antisemitism and “woke” elites in mainstream media.

Sources told the New York Post that co-anchors Michelle Miller, Dana Jacobson and the show’s executive producer Brian Applegate have been fired and the show has been deemed too expensive in its current ratings.

The show has seen its ratings drop 10% in total viewers to 1.9 million for the current season and 20% in the 25 to 54-year-old demo to 346,000. It is not clear when the change to the show will take place, or whether the show will still air this week.

The network is also reportedly canceling its show "CBS Mornings Plus," as part of its budget cuts.

Another major change to the network is the hiring of former Wall Street Journal editor Charles Forelle as one of Weiss' top deputies. He will at least serve as a deputy editor for several months.

Weiss has also made personnel changes since taking over several weeks ago, including by firing the former head of the outlet's standards and practices unit, Claudia Milne, who ran the division responsible for the moral, ethical and legal implications of CBS programming since 2021.
