Head of Combat Antisemitism Movement accuses NYT of distorting coverage of anti-Israel protests

CEO of the Combat Antisemitism Movement, Sacha Roytman, criticized The New York Times' coverage of the anti-Israel protests at college campuses across the country, saying the coverage was distorted.

"The NYTimes consistently overlooks the extensive intimidation and violence against Jewish students, who have been prevented from attending classes and feel unsupported by university administrations. It portrays Jewish self-defense as unacceptable, yet seems indifferent when these students are attacked," Roytman wrote on the social media platform, X.

Anti-Israel protests have erupted on many college campuses, where students and outside agitators have set up encampments and refused to leave.

Roytman went on to praise The Wall Street Journal's coverage of the protests, saying the outlet did "comprehensive journalism."

"In contrast, today's WSJ goes deeper, meticulously examining how propaganda campaigns on campuses have been organized, funded, and executed, detailing the messaging and tactics used to prepare and intimidate students," he said. 

Some members of Congress have already announced that they would "follow the money" regarding the "National Students for Justice in Palestine" and other groups allegedly organizing these protests. 

The New York Times has not responded for comment at this time.
