Laura Loomer receives Pentagon press credentials
Her receiving credential follows an upheaval regarding reporting at the Pentagon on the Defense Department. Most of the major news outlets recently surrendered their credentials rather than agree to new, stricter rules on such reporting.
Right-wing activist and independent journalist Laura Loomer has received Pentagon press credentials.
Lommer, who has the ear of President Trump and appears to been influential in some of his decision making, confirmed her credentialing late Monday night, after it was reported by The Washington Post.
"I’m excited to announce that after a year of breaking the most impactful stories that pertain to our nation’s national security and rooting out deceptive and disloyal bad actors from the Department of War, I have joined the Pentagon Press Corps!," she posted on X.
Her receiving credential follows an upheaval regarding reporting at the Pentagon and on the Defense Department. Most of the major news outlets recently surrendered their credentials rather than agree to new, stricter rules on such reporting.
In the aftermath, a new press corps has formed that includes Gateway Pundit, Human Events, podcaster Tim Pool, Frontlines by Turning Point USA, One America News and LindellTV.
"LOOMERED is now a credentialed outlet at the Pentagon. There is no denying that my investigative reporting has had a massive impact on the landscape of personnel decisions within the Executive Branch, our intelligence agencies and the Pentagon," Loomer also posted. " I look forward to covering the Pentagon and breaking more stories that impact our country and our national security. I have developed a Rolodex of sources and if you have any tips, feel free to contact the Loomered Tip Line: the most influential Tip Line in all of DC."
The DOD policy change prohibits journalists from soliciting information not officially provided by the government.
Loomer, 32, lost two Florida congressional campaigns, in 2020 and 2022, and has repeatedly met with President Trump in the Oval Office. She has taken credit for the departure of several Trump administration officials including National Security Agency Director Timothy Haugh and National Security Advisor Mike Waltz.
Loomer recently told the Washington Post that she had applied for a White House press pass but that her application had been stalled, despite her repeated requests and other right-wing influencers with smaller audiences already being approved.
