Bill Maher revealed details about his experience with President Trump during a meeting at the White House organized by musician Kid Rock.

“Everything I’ve not liked about him was, I swear to God, absent. At least on this night, with this guy,” Maher, 69, said on Friday night on his show, "Real Time with Bill Maher."

“I never felt I had to walk on eggshells around him. And honestly, I voted for Clinton and Obama, but I would never feel comfortable talking to them the way I was able to talk with Donald Trump,” he added.

Maher said he made a printout that listed insults the president has thrown at him over the years. He revealed that Trump signed the sheet with "good humor."

Maher said Trump genuinely laughed during his conversations with him that night.

Maher also said it was "surreal" to see Trump later return to his public persona.

“Who’s that guy?,” Maher said. “And why can’t we get the guy I met to be the public guy?"
