MSNBC cancels anchor Joy Reid's show: Report

Under the new schedule, Symone Sanders-Townsend, Alicia Menendez and former Republican National Committee Chairman Michael Steele will move to network's 7 p.m. weekday slot from Tuesday to Friday, according to the report.

MSNBC is canceling anchor Joy Reid's 7pm show, according to a Variety report citing sources.

Under the new schedule, Symone Sanders-Townsend, Alicia Menendez and former Republican National Committee Chairman Michael Steele will move to the network's 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. slot on Monday and 7 p.m. from Tuesday to Friday, according to the report.

Reid has hosted The ReidOut since 2020.

Variety reported that Alex Wagner, who had hosted weeknights starting at 9 p.m. will likely not return to that slow and instead be named a contributor. Former White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki is expected to fill at least one hour, according to the report.
