Sesame Street's Elmo's X account gets hacked, posts antisemitic statements

The verified X account of Sesame Street's Elmo was hacked, and the hacker posted a slew of antisemitic messages. 

“Elmo says all Jews should die,” one of the posts read. Another post was “Jews control the world and need to be exterminated.”

Officials with Sesame Workshop confirmed to Fox 11 that the account was hacked.

"Elmo’s X account was compromised today by an unknown hacker who posted disgusting messages, including antisemitic and racist posts," the statement reads. "We are working to restore full control of the account."

All the posts have been deleted. 

In another now-deleted post, Elmo called President Donald Trump a puppet of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.

“Donald Trump is Netanyahu’s puppet because he is in the Epstein files,” the hacker wrote. “Release the files @RealDonaldTrump child fucker.”
