At a House hearing on Wednesday, Judiciary Committee Chairman Jim Jordan alleged that National Public Radio (NPR) covered up the story about COVID-19 coming out of the Wuhan Institute of Virology, in China.

NPR CEO Katherine Maher conceded during her congressional testimony that her organization made a mistake by its lack of serious coverage of the Hunter Biden laptop story during the 2020 election.

"I do want to say that NPR acknowledges we were mistaken in failing to cover the Hunter Biden laptop story more aggressively and sooner," Maher told Rep. Michael Cloud, R-Texas.

Rep. Jordan pointed to the accusation by former senior business editor for NPR, Uri Berliner, that "in the DC area, editorial positions at NPR, he said he found 87 registered Democrats, 0 Republicans."

"Is that accurate?" he asked Maher. She responded: "We don't track voter registrations."

Berliner had argued that NPR's coverage increasingly reflected a rigid progressive ideology.
