Disney’s ABC announced Wednesday it would be pulling "Jimmy Kimmel Live!" for an indefinite amount of time following the host's comments about the assassination of Turning Point USA founder Charlie Kirk.
The company said in a statement that it “strongly objects to recent comments made by Mr. Kimmel concerning the killing of Charlie Kirk and will replace the show with other programming in its ABC-affiliated markets," according to Variety.
During a monologue on Monday, Kimmel said that the "MAGA gang" was trying to politically benefit from the murder of Kirk.
“We hit some new lows over the weekend with the MAGA gang trying to characterize this kid who killed Charlie Kirk as anything other than one of them,” Kimmel said during the monologue.
Kimmel told Disney executives, before he was suspended, that he would not apologize for his remarks, according to reports.
