CIA Director Ratcliffe says US intelligence support to Ukraine has been halted
This comes after the contentious exchange in the White House between President Donald Trump and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky last week.
CIA Director John Ratcliffe said Wednesday that intelligence support and weapons shipment from the U.S. to Ukraine has been halted.
Ratcliffe spoke following a contentious exchange in the White House last week between President Donald Trump and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky that appeared to end any support Trump might give Ukraine in its three-year effort to fend off Russia's invasion.
“Trump had a real question about whether President Zelensky was committed to the peace process, and he said let’s pause,” Ratcliffe said in a Fox News interview.
Zelensky on Tuesday appear to attempt to makeup.
He said he was ready to work under Trump's leadership to achieve lasting peace and that "it was time to make things right."
Ratcliffe also said he hoped that the pause on support would be lifted soon and is committed to getting a peace deal done to end the Russia-Ukraine war.
