Trump says he is considering putting banking sanctions, tariffs on Russia until peace deal is made

President Donald Trump on Friday said he is considering putting banking sanctions and tariffs on Russia until a peace deal is made with Ukraine to end the ongoing war.

"Based on the fact that Russia is absolutely “pounding” Ukraine on the battlefield right now, I am strongly considering large scale Banking Sanctions, Sanctions, and Tariffs on Russia until a Cease Fire and FINAL SETTLEMENT AGREEMENT ON PEACE IS REACHED," Trump wrote on TRUTH Social.

He urged Russia and Ukraine to "get to the table" before it's too late.

Over the past few weeks, Trump has been in talks with leaders from both Russia and Ukraine to end the war that started between the two countries in 2022.
