Argentinian President Javier Milei was hosted by X CEO Elon Musk at Tesla headquarters in Austin, Texas, where they discussed free markets and potential projects, according to reports.

Argentina's incoming ambassador to the United States, Gerardo Werthein, told media outlets that the two discussed how they could work together for economic reasons.
"We talked about the investment opportunities in Argentina in lithium. . . . We're very committed not only to exporting raw materials but also to adding value," Werthein said, according to Fox News.
Last year, Argentina elected the conservative populist Milei as president. He has been compared to former President Donald Trump in his campaign promises and style.
Some campaign promises Milei made while running for president included dramatically slashing government spending. He also has strongly condemned socialism while promoting free enterprise as the best way to prosperity.
