Former Trump adviser Sebastian Gorka blasts former Vice President Mike Pence for changing his narrative on the January 6 Capitol Hill riot.
"He's constantly misrepresenting what happened before January 6 and on January 6," Gorka told the "Just the News, No Noise" TV show.
"Nobody in the Trump campaign, nobody in the White House, none of his attorneys told him 'You have to overturn the election,'" he continued. "That's garbage. But as the then-president of the Senate: he can cast tiebreaker votes and the other power he has is to send problematic Electoral College results back to states for recertification."
Pence has repeatedly stated that he lacked the constitutional authority to send the election results back to the contested states for review and insisted he saw no evidence of voter fraud swaying the outcome of the 2020 election.
Recent reporting has highlighted Pence's statements two days before the January 6 riot occurred.
"I know we all got doubts about the election. I share the concerns of millions of Americans about voting irregularities," he told supporters on Jan. 4. "I promise you this Wednesday. We'll have our day in Congress. We'll hear the objections. We'll hear the evidence."
Gorka predicted that as a result of Pence's flip-flopping, his political career is over.
"He's misrepresenting what happened that day," Gorka stated. "And as a result, I think I can say this was certitude: Mike Pence and his political future–his career is dead in the water."
