Trump-appointed Labor Secretary Acosta joins board of directors for conservative job network
Acosta was sworn in as Secretary of Labor in 2017.
Trump appointed-Secretary of Labor Alexander Acosta recently joined the board of directors for the Job Creators Network,
“It’s an honor and a privilege to welcome Sec. Alex Acosta," said Alfredo Ortiz, the CEO of the conservative-leaning group.
"Sec. Acosta’s tremendous experience and accomplishments, including as Labor secretary in the Trump administration and previously holding leadership positions at the Department of Justice and National Labor Relations Board, will bring invaluable insight to JCN as it continues to grow in size and scope," the statement continued.
Acosta was sworn in as Labor secretary in 2017. Prior to holding that post, he served as the dean of the FIU College of Law.
He has been named one of the nation’s 50 most influential Hispanics by Hispanic Business magazine.
