The estate of late financier and sex offender Jeffrey Epstein will start giving documents to the House Oversight Committee on Monday, pursuant to a subpoena.

Last month, the House committee subpoenaed documents from the estate, requesting they be handed over by the Sept. 8 deadline.

A committee aide told Fox News that members are expecting the first production of documents by the deadline.

A lawyer representing the executors of the estate also told the media outlet that files would be handed over on time.

"As the Co-Executors have always said, they will comply with all lawful process in this matter, and that includes the subpoena issued by the House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform," the attorney said.

"As part of the Estate’s compliance with that subpoena, the Co-Executors have arranged to produce documents, records and other materials to the Committee on an agreed-on schedule, commencing today as requested by the Committee."

The documents subpoenaed by the committee include all entries in a book compiled by Epstein accomplice Ghislaine Maxwell for Epstein's 50th birthday, his will, and information on his 2008 non-prosecution agreement.

Congress members are hoping that the "birthday book," which was compiled in 2003 and allegedly includes personalized messages from Epstein's friends and associates, will reveal his personal connections, amid speculation Epstein kept a "client list" of powerful, high-profile men to whom he supplied young women for sex.

The committee is also seeking information regarding Epstein's financial transactions, call and visitor logs, and client list.
