GOP Rep. Brian Mast selected to chair Foreign Affairs Committee

Rep. Brian Mast, R-Fla, a military veteran, has been chosen as chairman of the House Foreign Relations Committee.

Mast, an ally of President-elect Trump in the House, was selected over Reps. Ann Wagner, R-Mo., Joe Wilson, R-S.C., and Darrell Issa, R-Calif.

Rep. Michael McCaul, R-Texas, is the current chairman.
