Daylight saving time kicked in on Sunday

Sen. Rick Scott, R-Fla., called on Congress to pass the Sunshine Protection Act to "lock the clock" and end "daylight saving time."

Americans gained one hour of daylight on Sunday when the clocks were moved from 2am to 3am for the spring and summer months.

"Every day, I hear from Americans who are sick and tired of changing their clocks back and forth," Scott posted on X along with a video. " It’s time to pass my Sunshine Protection Act and lock the clock!"

Sen. Mike Lee, R-Utah, replied to Scott's post and encouraged social media users to "like and share if you agree that Congress should eliminate the need to change clocks and pass @SenRickScott’s Sunshine Protection Act."
