House Judiciary Committee to hold hearing on Fairfax County sanctuary policies next week

The House Judiciary Subcommittee on Immigration Integrity, Security, and Enforcement announced Friday it will hold a hearing next week on the impact of Fairfax County, Virginia's, sanctuary policies.

The hearing will be titled "Fairfax County, Virginia: The Dangerous Consequences of Sanctuary Policies," and will examine the state's policies when it comes to public safety and its treatment of illegal migrants who are wanted by Immigration and Customs Enforcement officers.

The hearing will take place Thursday, May 14, 2026, and is expected to include testimony from Fairfax County Commonwealth's Attorney Stephan Descano, former Virginia Attorney General Jason Miyares and Fairfax County Sheriff Stacey Kincaid, among others.

The hearing will be held in the Rayburn House Office Building and can be streamed here.
