House Rules Committee scheduled to consider Garland contempt resolution on Tuesday

The House Rules Committee is scheduled to consider on Tuesday a resolution to hold U.S. Attorney General Merrick Garland in contempt of Congress over refusing to release audio of President Biden's interview with special counsel Robert Hur.

A floor vote on the resolution is expected the following day if it passes out of the Rules Committee. 

Garland testified before the House Judiciary Committee last week during a hearing that examined "how the DOJ has become politicized and weaponized."

The Department of Justice has shared transcripts of Hur's interview with Congress, it hasn't provided the audio.
