Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene, R-Georgia, announced Friday night she is resigning from Congress in January after an intense feud with President Donald Trump.

The move comes after Trump pulled his endorsement of the Georgia conservative, after she blasted the president for his focus on ending foreign wars and policies, despite running on an "America First" platform.

She has also gone after other members of her own party for not finding a way forward on healthcare, and separated from some members of the party and the president on the Epstein files.

“I have too much self respect and dignity, love my family way too much, and do not want my sweet district to have to endure a hurtful and hateful primary against me by the President we all fought for, only to fight and win my election while Republicans will likely lose the midterms,” Greene said in a post on X.

Greene, who was a major supporter of Trump until recent months, said her resignation will take effect on January 5.
