Rick Scott predicts Lara Trump will replace Marco Rubio in the Senate

Sen. Rick Scott, R-Fla., predicted that GOP Gov. Ron DeSantis would choose Republican National Convention co-chairwoman Lara Trump to replace Sen. Marco Rubio, R-Fla.

“I think Lara Trump is the right person to replace him," Scott said, according to The Hill. "He’s going to be hard to replace. I met her back when she worked at E Network and she is a hard worker. She is committed."

DeSantis has to replace Rubio since President-elect Donald Trump tapped the Florida senator to be Secretary of State.

Scott predicted DeSantis would select Trump due to her role in helping Republicans win the House, Senate, and presidency. 

“It’s an important decision, and I think he’s going to pick Lara Trump because he knows she is clearly qualified,” Scott stated.

“She is somebody that would be well received in the state of Florida and somebody that could win the election when she has to run in two years," he added.
