Maine Republican Sen. Susan Collins' constituent office in Biddeford was vandalized overnight as voters in the state prepared to vote on whether to reelect her to another six-year term.

The vandalism marks the second time in recent months that the Republican's office was vandalized and comes after a Venezuelan illegal migrant was shot and killed by an immigration officer in the town earlier this year.

Vandals allegedly wrote “blood on her hands" in red paint just outside the office and splashed red paint on the sidewalk, according to The Hill.

“Last night we once again had vandalism at my federal office in Biddeford," Collins told a CBS News reporter on Tuesday. "This office does constituent service work. This is not a political office. It’s always there, helping people with problems with Social Security or Veterans Benefits or the IRS.

“This is so unacceptable, and it’s unfair to my caseworkers who are working there," she continued. "Fortunately, they refuse to be intimidated by this. And the office is open and doing business today.”

Collins' Biddeford office was also vandalized in September and the senator said her Bangor home was egged that same month.
