US and Germany stopped Russian plot to kill head of arms maker sending Ukraine weapons: Report

U.S. and German intelligence stopped a Russian plot to assassinate the head of an arms manufacturer who was sending weapons to Ukraine, according to a report.

When U.S. intelligence learned of the plot to kill Armin Papperger, CEO of a German weapons manufacturer, they told Germany, who protected Papperger and halted the plot. 

The manufacturer sends artillery shells and military vehicles to Kyiv. 

German intelligence confirmed to CNN that the U.S. discovered the plot and informed Germany.
