Cleveland Browns rookie quarterback Shedeur Sanders had his home broken into during his NFL debut Sunday.

Sanders, who relieved starting quarterback Dillon Gabriel in Cleveland’s 23-16 loss to the Baltimore Ravens, threw for 47 yards with an interception in his debut game.

According to multiple reports, it is unclear whether anything was stolen from Sanders’ home. And authorities as of Tuesday had yet to identify a suspect.

Sanders’ break-in is the latest in a worrying string of professional athletes experiencing attempted robberies. Since their work schedule is so publicly available, thieves have been targeting sports stars’ residences to try and steal their belongings.

Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes and tight end Travis Kelce, Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow and then-Dallas Mavericks superstar Luka Doncic all reported burglary attempts over the last two years.

Browns head coach Kevin Stefanski confirmed that despite the current situation, Sanders will start for Cleveland on Sunday against the Las Vegas Raiders if Gabriel fails to clear concussion protocol.

NBC Sports’ Pro Football Talk was the first to report on the break-in.
