A federal judge this week ordered the Department of Homeland Security to refrain from conducting voter-fraud-related field operations against likely U.S. citizens.

The California Nurses Association and a series of other groups sought an injunction against DHS to stop several of its election integrity operations.

U.S. District Judge Araceli Martinez-Olguin issued the opinion, imposing a block through election day, but staying the injunction until Friday.

Her order specifically bars DHS from conduction "elections-related field operations and field interviews" in nine states, including California, Connecticut, Georgia, Missouri, Nevada, New York, Pennsylvania, Washington, and Wisconsin.

It notably only applies to persons whom DHS "know, suspect, or should reasonably know or suspect are U.S. citizens."
