Judge rejects DOJ bid to secure contact info for Fulton County's 2020 election workers

A federal judge rejected a bid from the Department of Justice to secure the names and contact information of Fulton County, Ga.'s, 2020 election workers.

U.S. District Judge William Ray on Tuesday wrote that "[g]iven the low need for the subpoenaed information and the highly burdensome nature of the disclosure of the same, the Subpoena is unreasonable and must be quashed," according to the Associated Press.

The DOJ has pursued an investigation related to the 2020 election in Georgia and has sought information related to any alleged crimes connected to the contest.

President Donald Trump has repeatedly stated that he won the 2020 election and that fraud from mail-in voting during the COVID-19 pandemic contest him the contest.
