Trump says Obama will likely will benefit from immunity following declassified DNI reports

Trump said that Obama owes him "big."

President Donald Trump said Friday that former President Barack Obama will likely benefit from the Supreme Court's presidential immunity ruling, following the Office of the Director of National Intelligence having declassified and released documents that appear to show the Obama administration conspired to subvert President Trump’s 2016 victory and presidenc

 "It probably helps him a lot," he said before departing for Scotland. "But it doesn't help the people around him at all. But it probably helps him a lot. He's done criminal acts, there’s no question about it. But he has immunity."

He later said that Obama "owes me big." 

Last year, the Supreme Court ruled that Trump had presidential immunity for official acts amid a case from special counsel Jack Smith over the Jan. 6 incident.

Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard earlier this week declassified and released a House Intelligence Committee report that alleges that an Obama-era intelligence assessment on Russian election meddling used the discredited Steele Dossier to underpin its conclusion that Russian President Vladimir Putin aspired to help Donald Trump win the 2016 election. 

As a result of the report, Trump called for Obama to be investigated. A spokesperson for the former president denied the allegations, according to Fox News.
