For state councilor Cinde Warmington is launching a second Democratic bid for New Hampshire governor, hoping to unseat Gov. Kelly Ayotte.

Warmington announced her campaign in a video statement, attacking Ayotte over school vouchers and the governor's support for President Donald Trump.

"I'm Cinde Warmington, and I know we can do better," she said. Warmington previously sought the Democratic nomination in 2024, but lost her party's primary.

New Hampshire is somewhat unique in that the governor must seek reelection every two years. The only other state with comparably short gubernatorial terms is Vermont.

Ayotte has held the post since early 2025.
