White House honors Charlie Kirk on one-year anniversary of his death

The White House on Thursday paid tribute to the late Charlie Kirk on the one-year anniversary of his assassination.

Kirk, a prolific activist and the founder of Turning Point USA, was killed during an open-air event at Utah Valley University on Sept. 10, 2025. He sustained a fatal gunshot wound to the neck. Tyler Robinson has been charged with his murder.

"One year ago, we tragically lost a fearless patriot. A champion for freedom and for our country.

Charlie Kirk changed the course of American history. His courage, conviction, and love of country will never be forgotten," the White House posted.

Accompanying the post was a tribute video featuring footage of Kirk about the importance of the conservative movement.
