FBI Director Kash Patel said Wednesday that he would be looking into the birthday note President Donald Trump allegedly wrote to the late, disgraced financier Jeffrey Epstein for his 50th birthday.

“You’ve seen the picture of the woman’s body with the president’s signature — he says it’s not his," Sen. Jared Moskowitz, D-Fla., questioned Patel during a Wednesday hearing, according to The Hill newspaper. "Will you open up an investigation into Epstein estate for putting out a fake document?”

Patel responded by asking about the basis of the investigation.

“They literally put out a fake document — according to the president — with a fake signature to forgery of the President of the United States’s signature," Moskowitz answered.

“Sure, I’ll do it,” Patel said.

The Epstein estate put out a birthday note recently to the disgraced financier, saying it was from Trump.

The White House denied these claims and said the signature on the card was fake.

Epstein died in a New York correctional center in August 2019 while awaiting trial on charges of sex trafficking of minors and conspiracy to commit sex trafficking.
