Trump thanks FBI agents who blew the whistle on bias witnessed under Wray's leadership over J6

President Donald Trump on Thursday thanked FBI agents that were sent to the United States Capitol during January 6 and blew the whistle on political bias that they witnessed in the bureau under former director Christopher Wray's leadership.
The social media post was in response to a Just The News report last month, which revealed that Wray secretly deployed more than 250 plainclothes agents to the U.S. Capitol during the January 6, 2021 riot in an operation so disorganized it unleashed searing frustrations among many of the FBI's rank-and-file.
An after-action report obtained by Just The News found that scores of FBI agents and personnel – many from the bureau’s premier Washington field office – sent anonymous complaints to the after-action team detailing how agents were sent into an unsafe scenario without proper safety equipment or the ability to identify themselves readily as armed officers to other police agencies.
Trump on Thursday reassured agents who came forward that they were now working for a team that would eliminate political bias in the agency and the Department of Justice.
"To all the FBI Agents who were forced by Christopher Wray to go to the Capitol on the afternoon of January 6th, and then risked their careers to blow the whistle about the Political Bias and Abuses they witnessed, I want to thank you for your Courage," he posted on Truth Social.
"[I want to] assure you that you now work for a Director, Kash Patel, and an Attorney General, Pam Bondi, who are stamping out Political Bias from the Bureau and DOJ, and making sure Agents pursue criminals without regard to their political stripe, just the evidence," he continued. "Keep up the good work!"
The after-action responses were located by Patel’s team and recently turned over to the House Judiciary Committee and its special subcommittee investigating security failures and weaponization of law enforcement during the Jan. 6 riot.
