Conservative commentator Tudor Dixon considering Michigan Senate bid, second governor run
Tudor Dixon ran for Michigan governor in the 2022 election.
Conservative commentator Tudor Dixon is considering a 2026 run for an open Michigan Senate seat or a second attempt to win the state's governorship.
"I want to do the most good for our beloved state," she posted Tuesday on X. "Both races present unique opportunities and different ways to benefit Michigan."
As of Wednesday, no Democrats or Republican has officially announced a Senate bid.
In the governor's race: Dixon would run in an already crowded GOP primary that includes former House candidate Anthony Hudson, Michigan Senate Minority Leader Aric Nesbitt and construction manager William Null.
The Democrat field so far includes Michigan Secretary of State Jocelyn Benson, Lt. Gov. Garlin Gilchrist and Genesee County Sheriff Chris Swanson.
Dixon ran unsuccessfully for the governorship in 2022 with Donald Trump's backing.
With Trump now back in the White House, Dixon again appears to be looking for his support by praising him on Fox News before making her announcement on X.
"The leftist mainstream media is officially dead," she wrote on X. "Despite their propaganda, President Donald Trump's approval rating has never been higher. He's delivering for the American people every single day!"
In her announcement, Dixon wrote that she will decide soon whether she wants to run for governor or senator.
