Child found dead after father reported abduction in New York

An amber alert was issued on Sunday for a 9-year-old child reportedly abducted in Lake George and she has been found dead, New York State Police confirmed.
Police said Melina Frattolin was reported abducted by her father around 9:40 p.m. on July 19, according to local reports.
News outlets reported that Frattolin was last spotted in a white van heading southbound on the Northway near exit 22.
She is described as an Indian girl with brown hair and brown eyes.
Frattolin is 5 feet tall and about 100 pounds, a local news report said.
Reports also said authorities have found inconsistencies in her father's account of the reported abduction and a news briefing is scheduled for Monday.
