Arizona woman beaten up in her Tesla says her car isn't a 'political statement'
"He got out and started to punch me with a closed fist," she says
A 61-year-old female Tesla driver was assaulted inside her car after she was chased down, according to several reports.
Some pulled up next to the woman, exited the car and started to strike her.
"I didn’t buy my car for a political statement. I bought my car because its really fun to drive. My politics have nothing to do with that. I’m ashamed of our society and what they are doing," the driver said.
"I started to say, 'you cut me off what’s your problem?' But I didn’t know how much he heard me. He got out and started to punch me with a closed fist," she added.
Violence against Tesla vehicles and sales centers has been on the rise after Tesla CEO Elon Musk began heading up President Trump's Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE).
