Cuomo announces bid for New York City mayor

Former New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo announced he’s running for mayor of New York City, in a bid to unseat Mayor Eric Adams.
In a 17-minute video posted on X, Cuomo cited the “migrant influx” that leads residents of the city to avoid eye contact.
“The city just feels threatening, out of control and in crisis,” Cuomo said. “These conditions exist not as an act of God, but rather as an act of our political leaders.”
