Madison Sauare Garden concert-goer plummets to his death from upper deck

A 51-year-old man fell to his death Saturday night from an upper deck of Madison Square Garden, according to authorities.

The incident at the New York City venue occurred at about 10:30 p.m. Emergency crews found the victim unconscious and unresponsive with injuries resembling those from a long fall, New York City Police said.

The man was with his wife and was taken to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead, according to the Associated Press. 

The rock band Goose was performing, the wire service also reports.
