In deadly Arizona runway crash, jet owned by Mötley Crüe's Vince Neil hit actor Vince Vaughn's jet
Vince Neil is an American musician and composer, and Vince Vaughn is a Hollywood actor.
The owners of the two private jets involved in a deadly runway accident Monday night at an Arizona airport belong to American musician Vince Neil and Hollywood actor Vince Vaughn, according to multiple news reports.
The Learjet owned by Neil, the lead singer for Mötley Crüe, veered off a runway at a Scottsdale, Arizona, airport and stuck a parked Gulfstream jet that belonged to Vaughn.
A pilot was killed and four people were injured, including two still in critical condition Tuesday, also according to news reports.
Neither Neil nor Vaughn was on board the planes when the accident happened.
Airport spokeswoman Kelli Kuester said Neil's jet was arrived from Austin, Texas, and veered off the runway during landing, hitting Vaughn's.
Kuester also said four people on board the Learjet and one in the Gulfstream.
The preliminary findings revealed that the cause of the accident may have been a failure of the left landing gear, which gave way during the landing, as reported by the Daily Wrap.
The accident is the latest in a series recent aircraft accidents including one last month between a passenger plane and a military helicopter near Washington, D.C., which resulted in the deaths of 67 people.
