New Charlie Kirk statue vandalized in Phoenix
The statue was unveiled on Thursday, which was one-year anniversary of Kirk’s assassination at Utah Valley University.
A new bronze statue of the late conservative activist Charlie Kirk was vandalized with red paint shortly following its unveiling outside of Turning Point USA’s Phoenix headquarters.
The news spread after Tyler Bowyer posted about it on X.
The eight-foot statue was sculpted by artist Quintin McCann, according to The Daily Wire.
The statue was unveiled on Thursday, which was one-year anniversary of Kirk’s assassination at Utah Valley University.
It depicts the late TPUSA founder tossing baseball caps into a crowd, wearing his signature “FREEDOM” T-shirt along with a cross necklace.
Phoenix police said vandalism reports were received around 8 a.m. on Sunday and the investigation is ongoing.
