Pennsylvania police officer, gunman killed at hospital, police say

Police responded to an "active threat" at the hospital around 10:45am, according to a public information officer at York County's Office of Emergency Management cited in several reports.

A police officer and a gunman were killed at UPMC Memorial Hospital in York County, Pennsylvania on Saturday morning, according to reports.

Police responded to an "active threat" at the hospital around 10:45am, according to a public information officer at York County's Office of Emergency Management cited in several reports.

The officer was identified as Andrew Duarte. 

The gunman's identity has not yet been released.
