Former UN Ambassador Nikki Haley on Wednesday warned the U.S. against engaging in a regime change conflict with Iran and insisted that the U.S. should limit its efforts to supporting Israel's destruction of the Iranian nuclear weapons program.

"The US should not engage in regime change in Iran. Our focus should only be on our national security. The Iranian regime has threatened the US with nuclear production for years," Haley posted on X.

"We should support Israel in eliminating the Natanz and Fordo sites to prevent the threat of an atomic bomb used against us. The Iranian people should decide who they want to be their leader. That’s their decision, not ours. Stay focused," she added.

Haley unsuccessfully sought the Republican nomination for president in 2020. During the primary, she often sparred with Vivek Ramaswamy, who labeled her a "neocon" and "war hawk" over her advocacy for supporting Ukraine in its ongoing war with Russia.

Her opposition to regime change in Iran comes amid growing calls on the right to limit American involvement in the Israel-Iran conflict, with some wanting to remain entirely uninvolved.
