Israel releases video of armed men at United Nations complex in Rafah
Israel has previously provided evidence indicating that multiple UN employees were members of terror organizations.
Israel released drone footage showing gunmen around United Nations vehicles and in a complex for the United Nations agency for Palestinian refugees in Rafah as Israel Defense Forces soldiers begin their long-awaited invasion of the southern Gaza city.
Israel, which took the videos over the weekend but released it Tuesday, called on the United Nations and the international community to investigate why armed men were at the scene.
One video shows three armed men interacting with two white vehicles marked with "UN," while another video shows an armed men putting his rifle into a white truck parked inside of a United Nations building complex. A third video shows an armed man running outside of a UN building complex.
The IDF said that the building is a "logistics warehouse compound" and a "central axis" for aid distribution in Gaza. The IDF said that one of the videos shows a man opening fire in the complex.
The IDF has accused the United Nations Palestinian aid agency, known as UNRWA, of allowing Hamas to use its facilities for terrorist activities. Israel has previously provided evidence indicating that multiple UN employees were members of terror organizations and involved in the Oct. 7, 2023, attack on Israel.
