On Monday, the reigning Major League Baseball (MLB) champions celebrated their victory with Trump at a gathering in the East Room of the White House.

This was the second visit of the LA Dodgers as MLB champs in less than 5 years. The team visited the White House as World Series champions in July 2021, when Joe Biden was president.

Trump congratulated the team along with owner and chairman Mark Walter, president of the club Stan Kasten and team manager Dave Roberts.

The president gave a special shoutout to 40-40 club member and National League MVP Shohei Ohtani. The 40-40 club commemorates a player who has hit 40 home runs and has stolen 40 bases. There are presently 6 players in the unofficial club.

The Dodgers, for their part, presented Trump with a team jersey.

The team's current record stands at 9-2.
