Fake photos allegedly showing President Donald Trump meeting "mysterious" figures at the White House went viral on social media and resulted in wild conspiracy theories on Sunday.

According to community notes on the social platform X, the photos were generated with OpenAI's image creation tools. 

OpenAI owns ChatGPT.

Some users commenting on the photos seemed to think they were real, asking others if they knew their names.
