Clooney contacted White House in defense of wife's work on ICC arrest warrants for Israel officials

Actor George Clooney reportedly called Steve Ricchetti, counselor to President’s Biden, in May to push back against the White House's complaints about the International Criminal Court (ICC) seeking arrest warrants for Israel officials including Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Defense Minister Yoav Gallant.
His wife, human rights lawyer Amal Clooney, advised ICC prosecutor Karim Khan on the warrants.
