President Trump raises massive $1.4 billion political war chest for 2026 midterms

President Donald Trump has raised a massive $1.4 billion for a political war chest that White House advisors claimed Friday will be a "dominant force" for Congressional Republicans in the 2026 midterms.
The high number consists of $900 million the president has raised since the November election, and another $500 million in other commitments, Fox News reported.
The funds will be used to help Republicans maintain control of both chambers of Congress next year. Republicans currently have a 53-47 majority in the Senate and a 220-215 majority in the House.
"After securing a historic victory in his re-election campaign in 2024, President Trump has continued to break records, including fundraising numbers that have positioned him to be an even more dominant force going into the midterms and beyond," Trump's senior advisor and National Finance Director Meredith O'Rourke told Fox News.
The outlet did not detail where the bulk of the funds stem from, but the president headlined a major event in April for the House Republican campaign arm, the National Republican Congressional Committee.
