President Donald Trump on Thursday slammed Democratic Massachusetts Sen. Elizabeth Warren, stating she needed to take a "drug test" after she accused him of trying to cut Social Security.

The remark occurred during a press event at the White House on the 90th anniversary of the Social Security Act, where Trump promised to strengthen the federal program "for generations to come."

Warren alleged in an op-ed for Fox News in April that the Trump administration was actually attacking the retirement program instead of saving it at a time when housing and the costs of living were "high."

Trump claimed Warren was a "mean person" and a "liar" for her past comments about being Native American. Warren released a DNA test in 2018 that showed she likely had a Native American ancestor six to 10 generations ago, but has been slammed for claiming she was Indian.

"We call her Pocahontas. She's a liar. She lied her whole career," Trump said. "Based on the fact that she was an Indian, she was able to get into certain colleges, get certain jobs, get into certain universities to work there. And she's a liar and a mean person.

"She's a nutjob. I watched her the other night. She's all hopped up endorsing a communist in New York City, and she was all excited and jumping up and down," Trump continued, referring to Warren's support of socialist mayoral candidate Zohran Mamdani. "She's got to take a drug test. She really, though, she's got to take a drug test. There's no way somebody can act that way and be normal."
