Trump urges Zelensky to ‘stop knocking out diesel fuel in Russia’

President Donald Trump on Sunday called on Ukraine to stop attacking Russian oil refineries and other diesel infrastructure, saying the strikes are contributing to a global fuel shortage.

“Mr. Zelenskyy has to do one thing. He has to stop knocking out diesel fuel in Russia,” Trump told reporters while attending the Irish Open in Ireland.

Ukraine has increasingly targeted Russia’s oil and gas industry with long-range drone strikes, arguing that the attacks undermine Moscow’s ability to fund its war.
