Vance arrives in Switzerland to resume talks with Iran, Pakistan negotiators to end war

Vice President JD Vance and senior Iranian officials arrived Sunday in Switzerland to formally start negotiations to end their nearly four-months-long war and more specifically hammer out the terms of the sides' recently signed memorandum of understanding.

U.S. envoys Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner are reportedly also part of the U.S. delegation in Switzerland.
The sticking points to ending the war and reaching a peace deal include whether Tehran will agree to wind down its nuclear enrichment program toward a nuclear weapon, keeping open the Strait of Hormuz and stopping the fighting in southern Lebanon between U.S. ally Israel and Iran proxy Hezbollah.
