The public will be allowed to view the National Christmas Tree next week through January 1, and the lights are typically turned on from sunset through 10 p.m. from Sunday to Thursday, and until 11 p.m. Eastern on Fridays and Saturdays.

President Donald Trump and first lady Melania Trump participate Thursday night in the annual National Christmas Tree Lighting ceremony at the White House, as the nation's capital kicks off the Christmas season.

The public will be allowed to view the National Christmas Tree next week through January 1, and the lights are typically turned on from sunset through 10 p.m. from Sunday to Thursday, and until 11 p.m. Eastern on Fridays and Saturdays.
