In its markup hearing on Thursday, the House Budget Committee approved a $95 billion budget reconciliation framework.
Speaker Mike Johnson, R-La., may face trouble when the package goes to the floor next week, as some conservatives object to the lack of spending cuts to offset the proposed spending.
Sen. Ron Johnson, R-Wis., said he's expecting a fight over a budget reconciliation bill for this reason.
The budget blueprint now goes to the House Rules Committee. There, GOP leaders are expected to attempt to win a vote that will put the proposal up for a chamber-wide vote at the end of next week, Fox News reported.
