Rand Paul's Fauci diaries exposed sensitive medical details on 20 individuals: report

Sen. Rand Paul's office published Dr. Anthony Fauci's diary without redacting sensitive details on the medical histories of 20 individuals. 

The diary is documents that were found on multiple servers where they'd been hidden. The documents were discovered and handed over to Paul, who released 1,600 pages of the diary to the public ahead of Fauci's testimony before the Senate Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee last week. 

During his time as director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, Fauci had access to medical information about people with cancer, Ebola and HIV, NOTUS reported. 

After the initial unredacted dump of documents, the files were removed and replaced with partial redactions on some, but not all, of the personal medical information. Several of the individuals whose medical history had been made public expressed concerns about the release. 

Leslie Adelman, one of the individuals whose medical information was revealed in the documents, told NOTUS in a text message that the release of information was "unconstitutional and truly disappointing."
